Bush Craft Skills Weekend Camping & Activities

Back by popular demand we are delighted to be running a fabulous family Bush Craft Skills Camp on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th August. 
 

That’s 2 whole days of Primitive Bushcraft Skills, Exclusive Eeekend Farm Park Access, Camping pitch PLUS Unlimited Water, Squash and S’mores (campfire treats) Campfire Dinner and Campfire Breakfast with tea and coffee included!

This ‘off grid’ weekend gives families, couples and friends groups a chance to have fun and reconnect with nature.   Matthew and Maria, the experts from Wild Woodcraft will lead all the activities and will also give interactive primitive bushcraft demonstrations over the weekend.

While you are part of our 'Tattershall Tribe' you’ll need to be prepared to get involved, have fun, try new things, and get your hands dirty! There will be 2 whole days of Bush Craft Activities and an overnight camp too

We’ll get to do some REALLY COOL stuff!  Here’s a flavour of what our ‘Tattershall Tribe’ will be up to over the weekend.

• Families will get to paint signs for their tents! (or caravans) But…this isn’t any ordinary paint…. No we’ll be doing Cave Painting with traditional ochres made from nature instead!
• Channel our inner cave man on the Primitive target range and get to practice with projectile weapons. 
• Use bows and arrows, throwing sticks, spears and our own creations!
• Make stone pendants
• Take part in firelighting workshops and enjoy s’mores cooked on our own fires
• Depending on how brave we’re all feeling we’ll also have the option to prepare and cook food in a pre-historic way. Fish or Rabbit are some of the potential options

This is a full on weekend, having fun, experiencing new things and interacting as a family, and a group of families. 

CAMPING
We will be in a separate area of the Farm Park and all activities will ONLY be for the families that are camping.

• We will have disabled portaloos, and you can of course use the toilets in the cafe. 

• THERE WILL BE NO SHOWERS. It’s just one night, and we’re all in it together, so whilst perfectly safe, the weekend will be RUSTIC (bring deodorant and baby wipes and we should be ok!.)

• We will have a sheltered area that we can do activities in if its absolutely tipping down, but if its just a bit of light rain / drizzle expect to get a little wet 

• You will need your own tent and bedding. 

• You can bring a caravan or mobile home but there is no electric hook up 

FOOD & DRINKS

• There will be unlimited water and squash throughout the weekend. 
• A campfire supper (Chilli con-carne, jacket potato / baked beans / cheese) is included
• A campfire breakfast (Bacon sandwiches / tea / coffee) is also provided. If you are veggie or have food allergies we can make sure you get fed too (it might just come from our cafe rather than being cooked on the campfire….)
• At night we’ll make hot chocolate around the campfire

NO LUNCHES will be provided, you are free to bring your own picnic lunches, or order something from our cafe instead - we'll have free time during the day.

Our introductory price for a space on this Bush Craft Experience Weekend Camp is just £50 per person (under 2’s are free).   

Annual Members price is £40 per person. 

Tickets are non refundable. This event will go ahead rain or shine, but hopefully we’ll have some pre-historic luck and have have a lovely weekend. It is August after all!
